This is a list of villages in New York, which includes all 547 villages in the U.S. state of New York. At the time of the 2010 United States Census,〔http://factfinder2.census.gov/faces/tableservices/jsf/pages/productview.xhtml?pid=DEC_10_PL_GCTPL1.ST13&prodType=table〕 New York state had 555 villages.〔 Since then, nine villages were dissolved (four in Cattaraugus County, one each in Seneca County, St. Lawrence County, Oswego County and Oneida County as well as Keeseville in Clinton and Essex counties), while one new village was created in Suffolk County (Mastic Beach). The Village of Lyons in Wayne County will dissolve on December 31, 2015.〔(New York State Division of Local Government Services - Villages dissolved since 1900 & incorporated since 1940 ), Retrieved Jun. 13, 2015.〕 Most villages in New York are located within a single town and county, but some villages are located in more than one town.
